Mrs. Savetra Williams: A Passionate Advocate for Community Well-being
Mrs. Savetra Williams hails from the small town of Madison, Florida. As a young teenager, she aspired to become a guidance counselor, aiming to pave the way for other young people to achieve a bright and successful future. With the support of her parents and family, she decided to attend Florida A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Social Work.
Mrs. Williams’ passion for healthcare, particularly mental health, family reunification, and supporting children facing socioeconomic challenges, grew out of her extensive and successful career in both the public and private health sectors. With over two decades of combined experience, she felt a strong calling to make a meaningful impact in her community. Today, Mrs. Williams serves as the AHC Administrator for the Agency for Healthcare Administration, where she oversees statewide clinical compliance, ensuring high standards of care and service across Florida.
While her career accomplishments are impressive, Mrs. Williams’ most cherished roles are those of wife and mother. She has been happily married to her husband, Will, for sixteen years, and together they are the proud parents of four beautiful children. In December 2021, Savetra and Will took their entrepreneurial spirit to new heights by launching Archer Energy LLC, a certified electrical contracting company in the State of Florida.
Savetra lives by the motto, “To Lead is To Serve!” Her commitment to community service and giving back inspired the founding of Heart to Help, an organization established to serve with compassion and grace, especially for the most vulnerable members of society. Through her work and personal dedication, Mrs. Williams continues to inspire and uplift those around her, staying true to her mission of service.

Justyce E. Mallory is a dedicated and dynamic leader with a passion for community engagement and organizational excellence. Her diverse career path has been shaped by her commitment to serving others and her ability to thrive in challenging roles.
Justyce began her academic journey at Tallahassee Community College (TCC), where she pursued an Associate of Arts degree. Concurrently, she attended Florida State University Schools, graduating with honors while earning her high school diploma. During her time at TCC, Justyce developed strong skills in public speaking and journalism, laying a solid foundation for her future academic and professional endeavors.
Eager to expand her knowledge, Justyce continued her education at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. During her time at FAMU, she delved into Criminal Justice and Sociology, fueling her passion for social justice and community empowerment.
In June 2023, Justyce transitioned into the real estate sector, beginning her career as a Leasing Agent. Her dedication and exemplary performance quickly led to leadership roles, and she now serves as the Property Manager for an affordable housing complex. Notably, she is the youngest individual to hold this position at a multi-million-dollar company, demonstrating her exceptional leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Beyond her professional achievements, Justyce remains deeply committed to giving back to her community. She actively mentors aspiring students, sharing her knowledge and experiences to inspire the next generation to reach their full potential.
As President of Heart to Help Incorporated, Justyce continues to embody the organization’s mission, leading with purpose and a steadfast dedication to serving those in need.

DeNisha: Empowering Through Beauty, Business, and Community
With over three decades of experience in the hairstyling industry, DeNisha has dedicated her career to helping people feel confident and beautiful. Her journey began with personal challenges, having lost her mother at 14 and becoming a teen mom at 15. These early experiences shaped her drive to impact the youth in her community, as she understands the struggles of being separated from a parent at a young age. Over the past 30 years, DeNisha has honed her craft, earning a reputation as a trusted stylist and business owner. For the last seven years, she has had the privilege of owning and operating her own salon, where creativity, customer care, and personal connection take center stage.
Recently, DeNisha expanded her professional horizons by founding *NetWorth Besties Inc.*, a brand marketing agency. This venture allowed her to combine her expertise in aesthetics with strategic business insight, helping brands tell their stories and connect meaningfully with their audiences. Her passion for entrepreneurship extends to empowering others, as she is committed to assisting business owners in building and maintaining strong business credit, enabling them to achieve financial independence and long-term success.
Beyond her professional life, DeNisha is the proud mother of six children and a new grandmother, drawing daily inspiration from their energy and joy. Her dedication to her community is equally profound. As the Vice President of a foundation focused on reuniting families and mentoring youth, she is committed to creating positive change and offering support to those in need. She believes that strong families are the cornerstone of a thriving community and works tirelessly to foster that belief.

Ms. Avis G. Hall

Ms. Avis G. Hall: A Dedicated Advocate for Youth and Community Development
Ms. Avis G. Hall, a native of Midway, Florida, is a proud graduate of the Gadsden County public school system. She completed her high school education at Havana Northside High School in 1998.
In 2022, Avis reignited her passion for business and returned to her academic roots, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Florida A&M University.
With 17 years of service at the State of Florida’s Department of Business & Professional Regulation, Avis currently holds the role of Examination Research Associate. In addition to her professional achievements, she has been a devoted member of St. Mark Primitive Baptist Church for the past 17 years, where she serves as Chair of the Singles Ministry, a Youth Advisor, a tutor, and contributes to various other church initiatives as needed.
Avis’s commitment to her community is evident in her extensive volunteer work. She has dedicated 20 years as a volunteer tutor, 7 years as a Math & Reading Pal with the United Way’s volunteer program at various Leon County schools, and has supported group home activities for the past year.
Her passion for serving youth and her community stems from her upbringing in a loving two-parent household, where she witnessed firsthand the profound positive impact that family and mentorship can have on young lives. Avis continues to be an advocate for fostering growth and opportunity in her community, particularly for its youth.

Shelia Fields: A Journey of Faith, Resilience, and Dedication
Shelia Fields was born and raised in the charming town of Lake City, Florida, to loving and supportive parents. She attended Columbia High School, where she built the foundation for her future aspirations. Following her high school graduation, Shelia pursued higher education at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 2000.
Faith has always been central to Shelia’s life. She is a dedicated member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, where she finds solace and strength. Her faith became even more profound after the tragic loss of her husband, leaving her to raise her daughter as a single mother. Through these challenges, Shelia’s resilience and unwavering belief in God’s plan have guided her.
Today, Ms. Fields serves as a Telecommunications Office Manager in the EIT department at Florida A&M University, bringing her expertise and commitment to her work every day. Known for her positive spirit, Shelia’s favorite color is green, symbolizing growth and renewal—a reflection of her optimistic and forward-looking approach to life.
Outside of her professional life, Shelia enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling, and indulging in one of her favorite pastimes—shopping. Whether at home or exploring new destinations, she cherishes moments with family and friends.
Throughout her journey, Psalm 23 has been her guiding light: "The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want." This scripture reminds her of the faith that sustains her through life's trials and tribulations. Another source of inspiration is the simple yet powerful quote, "Don't Quit," which serves as a constant reminder of perseverance during challenging times.

Mrs. Kalinda Pyles Knight

Kalinda Pyles Knight is a proud resident of Quincy, Florida. She holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix, a Master’s in Public Health from the University of South Florida, and a Master’s degree in Mental Health and Wellness from Grand Canyon University. With over 20 years of committed service in State Government, Kalinda currently works as a Program Consultant for the Bureau of Tobacco Free Florida under the Florida Department of Health.
Throughout her career, Kalinda has gained extensive experience in public service and is widely recognized for her community involvement. Her passion for making a difference is evident through her active participation on various boards, where she provides valuable insights and leadership in community development initiatives. In her role as Chief Communications Officer for Pretty Elite, Inc., Kalinda leverages her strategic communication skills to advance the organization’s goals. Her contributions have made a significant impact in both public and private sectors, where she consistently demonstrates her leadership and versatility.
Kalinda is also a devoted member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she takes on various roles to support the sorority’s mission of service and sisterhood. She is a Founding Member of the Greater Big Bend Drifters, Incorporated, a nonprofit organization focused on community empowerment. Her commitment to public service and advocacy for her community is unwavering, and she continues to be a beacon of positive change through her leadership roles.
Outside of her professional and community service commitments, Kalinda finds joy in spending quality time with her family, enjoying the simple pleasures of fishing, and staying active by playing basketball. These activities allow her to stay grounded and maintain balance in her life. Kalinda is married to Karl Knight, and together they are proud parents of Karvecia Knight, Jamesion Fead, Jr., Karmari Knight, and Karlton Knight. Family remains the center of her life, and she values the time they share together.
Dr. Marissa Clark Walker

Dr. Marrissa Clark Walker: A Trailblazer in Pharmacy and Public Health
Dr. Marrissa Clark Walker, a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, embarked on her academic journey in August 1993 when she moved to Tallahassee, Florida, to attend Florida State University. In December 1997, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology. Following her graduation, Dr. Walker began her career as a Case Manager at the Community Intervention Center, Inc., and later took on the role of Abuse Registry Counselor with the Florida Department of Children and Families. Her career path then led her to the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of HIV/AIDS, where she became the reporting liaison with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for the Ryan White Part B Grant.
After more than 12 years in public service, Dr. Walker decided to pursue a long-held dream of becoming a pharmacist. In Fall 2012, she entered the Doctor of Pharmacy Program at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) College of Pharmacy and Institute of Public Health. Her dedication and determination culminated in her earning a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 2016.
Currently, Dr. Walker serves as a Pharmacy Manager at Publix Pharmacy, where she demonstrates her expertise and leadership in pharmaceutical care. She also holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the FAMU College of Pharmacy, where she mentors and educates Doctor of Pharmacy candidates. Dr. Walker plays a pivotal role in guiding students through their academic journeys, providing them with a strong foundation in pharmaceutical studies and clinical practice. She prepares them for graduation, board exams, and career development, ensuring they are well-prepared to excel in the field. Additionally, she offers personalized tutoring for board exam readiness, further contributing to the success of future pharmacists.
Dr. Walker is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and is renowned for her commitment to excellence in both her academic and professional pursuits. Outside of her career, she is a devoted wife to Willie Gerard Walker and a loving mother to Sheldon Gerard Walker. Her passion for pharmacy, education, and mentorship shines through her accomplishments and contributions, leaving a lasting impact on the field and the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Mrs. Melissa Vergeson

Melissa Vergeson: A Dedicated Leader in Medicaid Quality and Public Health
Melissa Vergeson currently serves as the Bureau Chief of Medicaid Quality at the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. Her passion for community service was instilled in her from an early age, growing up as the eldest child of a career Marine father and a mother who dedicated her time to volunteering at schools, community events, and wives' club functions. This upbringing provided Melissa with a firsthand understanding of the profound impact individuals can make in their communities.
With 28 years of experience in state government, Melissa has dedicated her career to improving healthcare access and services for underserved and vulnerable populations. Her extensive expertise spans Medicaid policy development, Medicaid managed care plan contracting and compliance, and serving as the Chief Operating Officer of the Children’s Medical Services Specialty Plan. She has also overseen the Department of Elder Affairs CARES program, which is responsible for assessments of nursing home residents and applicants for the Medicaid long-term care waiver.
Melissa’s long-standing commitment to public service and healthcare for those in need is reflected in her leadership roles and her tireless efforts to improve the quality of care within Florida’s Medicaid system. Through her work, she continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals across the state.
Ms. Nedra Williams

Nedra Williams: Founder and Advocate for Community Empowerment
Nedra Williams is the founder of the Henry Williams Humanitarian (HWH) Foundation, established in honor of her late husband, Henry James Williams Jr. The HWH Foundation is dedicated to addressing the needs of underprivileged children and families by supporting organizations that provide essential services aimed at improving the lives of those less fortunate.
Nedra is actively engaged in a range of humanitarian and advocacy efforts. She currently serves as the Blood Donor Ambassador for the North Florida Regional Chapter of the American Red Cross and is a passionate advocate for the Sarcoma Foundation of America. In addition, she is the Scholarship Coordinator for the Henry James Williams Jr. Annual AAU Basketball Tournament, hosted by the Tallahassee Thunder AAU Basketball Team, as well as for the I AM DREAMS Center in Tallahassee, where she works to provide educational opportunities for aspiring students.
Her leadership extends to her role as Membership Coordinator for the North Florida Professional Chapter of SISTUHS, Inc., an organization dedicated to the development of African American women. Nedra is also a proud member of the Tallahassee Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Leon County Chapter of the Florida A&M National Alumni Association, and several national organizations, including Women in Analytics, Women in Technology, the HBCU Data Science Consortium, and the National Data Science Association.
Nedra firmly believes that significant and positive changes within communities require individuals to use their voices and resources through advocacy, empowerment, volunteering, and compassionate action. Her dedication to these values is evident in her extensive community involvement and leadership roles.
Professionally, Nedra works as a Senior Data Scientist, bringing her expertise and analytical skills to her work. She is a graduate of Florida A&M University and the University of West Florida. Originally from Americus, Georgia, Nedra now resides in Tallahassee, Florida, where she lives with her niece, Jaedin.
Ms. Miranda Johnson

Miranda Johnson: Advocate and Leader in Social Services and Clinical Compliance
Miranda Johnson is a dedicated Program Administrator with a State of Florida agency, where she oversees the Clinical Compliance and Monitoring unit of Medicaid Services. With over 20 years of experience in social services, Miranda has devoted her career to serving individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, including children dually diagnosed with underlying mental health disorders.
Miranda's passion for service began early in her career after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management from Florida A&M University. She initially coordinated services for individuals with disabilities residing in an Intermediate Care Facility, an experience that sparked her deep commitment to this population. To further enhance her leadership and management skills, Miranda pursued and received her Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Miranda is a passionate advocate for her 17-year-old son, who was diagnosed with several mental health disorders at the age of eight. Her personal experience as a parent advocate has further fueled her commitment to supporting those with disabilities and mental health challenges.
Miranda is also an active member of Abundant Life and Restoration Ministries (ALARM Ministries International Church), where she serves on the leadership team as the Director of Member Services. Her dedication to community service extends to her role as a board member with Mission Possible Enrichment Center (MPEC), a local nonprofit created by ALARM International Church to provide educational, rehabilitative, developmental, and enrichment services to the local community.
Through both her professional and personal roles, Miranda remains committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities and mental health needs, as well as to supporting the broader community through advocacy, leadership, and service.
